The Stop the Tyrants Project is a grass-roots petition campaign to restore democracy and respect for life to the United States by halting the militant pro-abortion activism of the federal courts.
The United States was founded on definite moral and political principles. These principles are succinctly stated in the Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government... when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
The federal judiciary of the United States is currently waging a war against our country's founding principles. They have created and maintained a separate abortion jurisprudence that is in total opposition to the fundamental rights of citizens as stated in the Declaration of Independence. Their unethical and immoral abortion jurisprudence is a violation of our basic rights as Americans. Through their abortion rulings, our federal judges have assaulted our political and human rights in two basic ways:
They have usurped the American people's authority to make their own abortion laws through their elected representatives in the legislature. American citizens now have no real say in government policy concerning abortion. These judges have thus become despots; they are abortion dictators.
2. This activism also undermines our culture's respect for life and human rights:They have created and maintained an abortion policy that is inhumanly cruel and completely incompatible with the basic principles of human rights. Under this Court-imposed abortion policy, the killing of a fully formed pre-born child -- with brain waves and functioning senses -- is a legally protected right!
As you can plainly see, the current abortion jurisprudence of our federal courts is a malevolent assualt on the dignity of the human person. It is an arrogant attack on the most fundamental rights of citizenship.
The members of Congress, the President and his cabinet, and all of our state officials -- judicial, legislative, and executive -- have apparently forgotten their Constitutional duty to defend the Constitution from this assault on democracy and decency. The Stop the Tyrants Project will make them remember!

The pro-abortion activism of the federal courts should be a most urgent concern for every American citizen. It has recently become even more urgent. Our wonderful federal judges have now extended their already immoral abortion jurisprudence to protect an act that destroys any distinction between abortion and infanticide. In a case decided in June 2000, Stenberg v. Carhart, they have ruled that the barbaric and inhuman practice known as "partial-birth abortion" -- which is the willful killing of a human baby while he is being born from his mother's body -- is protected by the Constitution of the United States!
The deplorable jurisprudence that produced the Stenberg ruling is warping our government and our culture. Killing a child while he is being born is now a "constitutional right"! If the United States is to be the republic its founders intended, then such tyrannical abuses and usurpations by unelected judges must stop. They must stop at once. And, if we are to be a nation of truly human beings -- beings that are capable of manifesting compassion -- then we must condemn and repudiate wanton immoralities like the partial birth abortion/infanticide.
It is therefore our right and duty as Americans, as explicitly stated in the Declaration, to alter or abolish the current federal judiciary of the United States! To achieve this necessary end, the Stop the Tyrants Project presents two petitions that should be signed by all American citizens who believe in democracy and human rights:
